Welcome to the first Bendenine Wind Farm Project Update.
We’re pleased to share the first edition of our newsletter for the Bendenine Wind Farm – a way to keep the community informed as the Project progresses through the early stages of planning.
In May 2025, the Project team was on the ground in Binalong and Bowning to introduce the proposed Project to the broader community and speak directly with near neighbours. We were grateful for the open and constructive conversations, which gave us valuable insight into the issues that matter most.
We heard that residents are seeking clear information on topics like visual impact, noise and fire safety – and we’re working to provide this in future updates and engagement materials, as we prepare the environmental and technical assessments. We also received positive feedback from locals who welcomed the early opportunity to engage.
We’ll be back in the community in mid-July, with community meetings scheduled with the Bowning and District Progress Association and in Binalong, to ensure both townships have an opportunity to hear directly from the Project team.
We’re also offering one-on-one meetings with any residents or landholders who would like to speak with us. These conversations will continue to help inform the preparation of the Project’s Scoping Report, which is the next major step in the planning process.
We look forward to continuing the conversation and working closely with the community as the Project evolves.
