A single meteorological monitoring mast, often referred to as a ‘met’ mast has recently been installed on the proposed Bendenine Wind Farm project site. Installation took place between December 2025 and January 2026.

Meteorological monitoring masts are used to gather wind data over time. The information collected helps build an understanding of wind patterns at the site, which is used to inform some of the technical studies prepared during the planning process, and inform project design.

Notification was provided to Airservices Australia in relation to aviation safety and engagement occurred with Yass Valley Council to ensure local awareness.

The met mast is expected to remain on site during project development. After this time, the mast will either be removed or would be subject to a separate planning process through Yass Valley Council.

If you have any questions or would like further information about the meteorological monitoring mast, the project team is available to assist. Visit the contact page of this website to get in touch.
