The Bendenine Wind Farm will bring significant economic and social benefits to the local and regional communities.
Job Creation & Local Procurement:
During construction, local employment opportunities will be created in areas like civil works, electrical installation and turbine assembly. Once operational, the wind farm will provide ongoing jobs in maintenance and operations. Local businesses will also benefit from procurement opportunities in construction, accommodation, catering and transport.
Energy Transition:
The Bendenine Wind Farm will play a vital role in contributing to the state’s energy transition from coal-fired power generation over the next decade toward a sustainable, clean energy future.
Community Benefit Programs:
Wind Prospect is committed to sharing the benefits of the Project and understands the importance of developing these initiatives in collaboration with the local community. We will provide opportunities for input, with programs likely to include:
- Neighbourhood benefits, including support for neighbouring landowners, businesses, and villages in the direct vicinity of the proposed development.
- Broader community benefits, focused on sharing benefits beyond the immediate area.
We anticipate that a community benefit sharing fund of at least $500,000 per year will be established, supporting local initiatives and residents throughout the Project’s lifecycle.
