As part of the proposed Bendenine Wind Farm project, Wind Prospect will work with the local community to develop a Benefit Sharing Program. This will provide long-term funding and opportunities to support Binalong, Bowning and the surrounding areas.
Over the life of the wind farm based on the current predicted generation capacity, the Project is expected to contribute a minimum of $15 million to the local community. This will equate to a minimum annual contribution of approximately $420k-$630k per year, with its use being decided in consultation with local community groups, neighbours, residents, businesses, First Nations groups, local councils, and other stakeholders. The distribution of community benefits associated with the project could evolve over time, providing certainty while retaining flexibility.
