Bendenine Wind Farm team meets with the community in Binalong and Harden

In October, the Bendenine Wind Farm project team held three days of community engagement, with two drop-in community information sessions in Binalong and a pop-up stall at the Harden Kite Festival.
The Binalong sessions were held at the Binalong Mechanics Institute on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October. The drop-in format provided an opportunity for community members to connect with the Wind Prospect project team, ask questions and provide feedback on the project.
The team then hosted a stall at the Harden Kite Festival, which attracted residents and visitors from across the region. The festival provided a relaxed setting for conversations with people who may not have attended a formal information session.
Across the three days, the team spoke with 25 community members about the project. Discussions covered a range of topics, including project timing and the planning process, transmission and grid connection, turbine blade recycling, potential local benefits and opportunities for future community engagement.
A summary of the topics raised, and the information provided by the project team is available in the Resources section of the project website: October 2026 Engagement Summary.
The project team would like to thank everyone who came along to the sessions or stopped by the stall for a chat.
Wind Prospect will continue to hold regular community sessions as the project progresses. Details of upcoming sessions will be published on the project website.
